Welcome to Activity Messenger: Platform Navigation for First-Time Users
Use this guide to get familiar with the main areas of Activity Messenger before you start building forms, creating registrations, sending messages, or managing your Organization settings.
This short video is for first-time users, new administrators, and staff members who are being introduced to Activity Messenger for the first time.
It gives you a quick tour of the Activity Messenger interface so you know where to find the main tools, where to get support, and which guide to open next based on what you want to do first.

Home page overview
When you first sign in to Activity Messenger, you land on the home page.
The home page gives you quick access to helpful account and learning resources, including:
- SMS balance
- Latest news
- Amplify podcast episodes
- Upcoming webinars
- Help guides
- Contact support
Use the home page as your starting point when you need support, updates, or quick access to important account information.
Find support and help guides
If you need help, use the support options available from the home page.
You can:
- Open the help guides
- Contact Activity Messenger support
This is the best place to start if you are unsure where to go or need help with a specific workflow.
Administrator account menu
The administrator drop-down menu gives you access to user-level and account-level shortcuts.
From this menu, you can open:
- My Account
- Organization Settings
- Users
- Billing
Use My Account to update your own user information, including account details and password-related settings.
When a new user is invited to Activity Messenger, they receive an email to create their account and password. After that, they can use this menu to manage their personal account information.
Language switcher
If your interface appears in French or English and you need to switch languages, use the language switcher in the top area of the platform.
This changes the interface language for your user experience.
Top navigation bar
The top navigation bar is where you access the main areas of Activity Messenger.
Your Organization name appears in the navigation bar and also acts as a link back to the home page.
Lists
Use Lists to manage audiences and organize contacts for communication.
This area is also where you can access:
- Client Accounts
- Unsubscribes
Lists are important when you want to send targeted email or SMS messages to the right group of people.
Forms
Use Forms to create and manage forms.
Forms can be used for workflows such as:
- Waivers
- Surveys
- Feedback
- Newsletter signups
- Internal staff forms
- Data collection
- Registration-related workflows
Forms are often the starting point when you need clients, participants, members, or staff to submit structured information.
Classes and Events
Use Classes to manage Classes and Events.
In Activity Messenger, Classes and Events represent your Activities.
A Class represents the activity as a whole. An Event represents one scheduled occurrence within that class.
Use this area when you need to create activities such as:
- Classes
- Camps
- Lessons
- Workshops
- Drop-ins
- Events
Communications
Use Communications to create and manage email and SMS workflows.
From this area, you can:
- Send a new message
- Create templates
- Create quick messages
- Generate automations
This is where you go when you want to communicate with clients, participants, families, staff, or other contacts.
E-commerce
Use E-commerce to access invoices and finance-related tools.
This area may include:
- Invoices
- Financial reports
- Other finance-related workflows
If you are only getting started, you may not need this section right away unless your Organization is collecting payments or reviewing financial activity.
Staff
Use Staff to manage staff-related tools and user access.
This area may include:
- Users
- Permissions
- Staff functionality
Use this area when you need to review who has access to Activity Messenger or manage staff-related workflows.
Microsite
Use Microsite to manage your Organization’s public-facing microsite.
This area is useful when you want clients to access forms, registrations, or other Activity Messenger workflows from a public page.
More menu
Use the More menu to access additional tools and assets.
This may include:
- Media
- Images
- Documents
- Videos
- Certificates
Use this area when you need to manage files or reusable assets uploaded to Activity Messenger.
Organization Settings
Click the cogwheel to access your Organization Settings.
Organization Settings control account-level setup areas such as branding, users, billing, messaging defaults, connected apps, and other settings that affect your Organization.
Use this area when you are setting up your account, onboarding administrators, or reviewing your account before launching workflows.
